Now it is the turn for Klavdia to take the stage for her First Rehearsal. Klavdia is the penultimate rehearsal of this Third day of Rehearsals in Basel.
Klavdia is representing Greece with “Asteromata“, a song written by Klavdia herself and Dimitris “Diveno” Beltsos, Egion “Gioni” Parreniasi, Gabriel Russell and Pavlos Manolis.
Klavdia will perform in the Second Semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest on the 15th of May.
Who is Klavdia?
Claudia Papadopoulou, known as Klavdia, is a talented Greek singer who rose to prominence in 2018 on The Voice of Greece as a finalist on Elena Paparizou’s team. Born and raised in Aspropyrgos, she showcased her natural musical gift early on, and in 2020 she released “Lonely Heart,” a hit with Greek listeners. Now signed to Panik Records and collaborating with Arcade, Klavdia continues to impress with dynamic live performances and a strong social media presence.
She is representing Greece at Eurovision 2025 with her new song, “Asteromata.” Written by Arcade, the track skillfully blends modern sounds with rich ethnic elements, featuring Greek lyrics and a message with depth.
The Rehearsal
“Klavdia begins her appearance on the Eurovision stage standing on a pier. Her movement toward a rock symbolises the fiery journey each person undertakes to the Light. The presence of a second person on stage, along with the movement of the set, reflects the theme of separation – the central message of the song “Asteromata”.
A rock serves as the central prop – it’s slightly smaller than TEYA DORA’s rock from last year. After Klavdia walks along the pier during the opening verse, she spends the remainder of the song on top of it. Joined by one female dancer in the second verse, they eventually drift apart along the pier, leaving Klavdia alone on her rock. She wears a long, fitted gown sparkling with tiny jewels that, under different lights, appears either black or very dark navy blue—details that should be clearer in tomorrow’s photos.
The performance features beautiful camerawork, with overhead shots transforming the pier into a watery scene that gradually shifts into dramatic images of burning trees and volcanic landscapes on the LED wall as the song builds. Stunning lighting and graphics play a key role; at one point, blue lights sweep across the set as Klavdia lifts her arm, while descending lego lights create a tiered effect reminiscent of Albania’s performance yesterday. Every line conveys a deep sense of love, loss, and pain.
Greece second rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday, May 8. Further details on their final staging are expected.
Photos from today’s rehearsal will be added as soon as they are available.
