“Serving”, the revamped version of the Maltese entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, will be released this evening at 18:00 CET.

The revamped version of the entry will also have a new title; “Serving”.  The name change came as a result of a ruling from the European Broadcasting Union requiring the word “Kant” to be removed from the entry, including the title.

This is due to “Kant” sounding like a highly offensive term in English, a term that is not permitted to be broadcast before 21:00 in the United Kingdom. PBS, the Maltese national broadcaster, is complying with the ruling but has stated that it will be appealing the ruling and may take the EBU to court.

The revamp was confirmed shortly after Miriana Conte won the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025. The EBU originally approved the lyrics before a complaint was made.
