A while ago, the official revamped version of “Bird of Pray”, Ukraine’s entry for Eurovision 2025, was released. More specifically, Ziferblat, the band from Ukraine that won the country’s national final, had already stated that they would be revamping their song with which they will participate on behalf of Ukraine in Basel.
The announcement for the revamp was made by the lead singer of the band, on a local radio station in Ukraine. The band wanted, after the national final, to create something memorable, that would impress all televoters around the world in May and would win their votes. The truth is that the reactions on the Ukrainian song were quite lukewarm, a fact which is also reflected in the betting odds. Specifically, Ukraine is -after many years- outside the top 10.

A few words about Ziferblat
Ziferblat is a band from Ukraine, consisting of vocalist Daniil Leshchynskyi, guitarist Valentyn Leshchynskyi, and drummer Fedir Hodakov. The band was formed in 2015, and so far they have released 9 singles and 1 album. Their first attempt to participate in Eurovision was in 2023, where they failed to make it into the final top ten of Vidbir. In 2024 they tried again, this time finishing second, with the song “Place I Call Home”. This year it is their turn to go to Eurovision in Basel to represent Ukraine and to continue their country’s qualification streak in the final. Ziferblat is considered one of the most promising names in the Ukrainian music scene.
Ukraine has been drawn to perform in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held on May 13 in Basel, Switzerland.
