Melbourne’s biggest Greek university and community event is back, as the MUnGA Ball 2025 makes its highly anticipated return on Friday, 4th April at Aerial, South Wharf. Organised by the Melbourne University Greek Association (MUnGA), this black-tie celebration welcomes both students and the wider Greek-Australian community for a spectacular night of live Greek music, fine dining, and non-stop entertainment.
Following last year’s sold-out revival, the 2025 edition promises to be even bigger, with over 300 guests expected. With a black-tie dress code, attendees will enjoy a two-course meal, four hours of unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks, plus a complimentary signature MUnGA cocktail upon arrival. The entertainment lineup features DJ Christos and bouzouki virtuoso Antonios Pistikakis, ensuring a perfect blend of Greek classics and modern beats to keep the dance floor packed.
A photo booth will also be available throughout the night to capture the evening’s best moments with instant prints.
A Legacy of Greek Celebration on Campus and Beyond
MUnGA, originally established in 1955, is one of Australia’s longest-running university cultural associations, bringing together students of Hellenic heritage and philhellenes who share a passion for Greek culture. While the MUnGA Ball was a staple event for decades, it had faded into history until its triumphant return in 2024, proving there’s a strong demand for large-scale Greek community events.
With its modern take on a classic celebration, the MUnGA Ball has quickly re-established itself as one of the biggest nights on the Greek-Australian social calendar. Whether you’re a student, young professional, or simply part of the wider Greek community, this is a night not to be missed.
