The Eurovision 2025 season is beginning to heat up. Over the course of the next few months, we will all fall in and out of love with scores of new national final and Eurovision entries. But that doesn’t mean we forget about the artists from past contests.
Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.
Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.
New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 9
Remo Forrer – “Smalltown Boy”
This week, we start with Remo, who represented Switzerland in 2023. He proudly embraces his small-town roots in a new EP. The EP features four songs — two previously released tracks, “Down to My Bones” and “Underwater”, along with two brand-new ones: “Somebody I Don’t Know” and the title track, “Smalltown Boy.”
The EP will make you smile, move you emotionally, and take you on an enchanting, mostly acoustic journey through joy, pain, nostalgia, and hope. The title track feels like a heartfelt letter to a younger self, adding an even more personal touch.
Damiano David – “Next Summer”
Damiano, the lead vocalist of the Italian rock band Måneskin — Eurovision winners in 2021 — has recently released a series of solo tracks in English. This week’s song brings the glam of a rock ballad, blending pop influences with Damiano’s unmistakable voice at the forefront. The music video plays out like a short film, pulling you into its captivating story.
“So call me when he breaks your heart next summer,” — the lyrics explore the pain of being separated from someone you love, watching them build a new life, yet holding onto the unshakable belief that you’re destined to cross paths again. Until that reunion, life feels like a constant battle with inner demons: “I thought that we had something good in our hands / In a minute it just slipped away / So many things I didn’t say / Before you threw it all away.”
Sudden Lights – “lai tev apnīk skumt”
Sudden Lights, who represented Latvia in 2023, return with a powerful new track. If you’re a fan of alternative rock and poetic lyrics, this song delivers the perfect blend.
The title, which could be translated as “So That You Get Tired of Being Sad,” explores the connection between boredom and sadness — a sense of exhaustion from feeling left out. The lyrics search desperately for a remedy: “I’m stuck somewhere in the middle / Between where I am and where I want / Please me with one / Infinity.” The music video beautifully captures how the world can feel lonely, even when you’re surrounded by people at a party.
Elena & Florin Ristei – “De neuitat”
Elena, who represented Romania in 2009, returns this week with a heartfelt acoustic duet alongside fellow Romanian singer Florin Ristei. Their voices blend seamlessly, and the music video beautifully highlights their undeniable musical chemistry.
The lyrics tell the story of two people who were meant for each other but ended up separated: “The two of us / Two Legos / Separated by egos.” The chorus captures the aching longing of a former lover watching someone build a new life, while the title — “Unforgettable” — emphasises how certain people remain in your heart, impossible to replace: “I wonder if you’re good with him? / I wonder if you’re good with her? / I wonder if you’re still mine? / I wonder if you’re still mine / I wonder if you still love me / And if you forgot about me / For me, you are / Unforgettable.”
Manizha & Liz Horsman- “Beyo”
Manizha, who represented Russia at Eurovision in 2021, returns with a new song that radiates serenity and calm. With its rich instrumentation and soft, soothing vocals, the track feels like a gentle embrace. It’s a gift for the spring ahead — a symbol of hope and renewal, a quiet reminder that brighter days are on the horizon. About her song, Manizha said:
“On the last day of winter, I want to share a new song BEYO. I hope it helps someone to slow down and to spend these last moments in acceptance. Spring is on the horizon — a time for renewal and emerging of beauty.”
Elena Ionescu – “Inima Nebuna”
Elena Ionescu, who represented Romania in 2012 as the lead vocalist of Mandinga, returns with a heartfelt ballad titled “Crazy Heart.“
The song tells the story of a heart that beats on its own — irrational, unwilling to forget the past, and endlessly replaying old memories. Elena’s soulful voice adds warmth and depth, touching every corner of your heart.
KALUSH & BEREZA – “Покохав”
Oleg, or KALUSH, is the lead vocalist of the Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra, the Eurovision winners in 2022. He continues his mission to collaborate with fellow Ukrainian artists, shining a spotlight on their talent. This week, he teams up with BEREZA for a heartfelt new track, “Loved.”
The song explores the powerful, unexpected nature of love — a force that often arrives when you least expect it but never without purpose. The lyrics invite listeners to reflect on why they chose a particular person to stand by their side. Despite the challenges and misunderstandings that may arise, sometimes the heart simply knows: “this is the one.” And more often than not, the heart is right. About the song Oleg said:
“This track was written about what almost everyone has already felt, one of the best feelings in life. What moves you to do things for the sake of the person you truly fell in love with. This is something that is difficult to describe. We conveyed in the song the moments that were most memorable. A strong feeling that allows you to feel alive and happy, an idealization of everything that happens.”
ByeAlex és a Sepp – van1szektám
It’s time to shift our focus to a country we deeply miss at Eurovision — Hungary. Their 2013 representative, ByeAlex, is back with a brand-new EP.
Spanning rock, alternative, and rap, the EP delivers a bold mix of sounds and emotions across five captivating tracks delivered by Bye Alex and his band. One standout is “unoma,” a collaboration with Filo. The whole EP is blending raw energy and introspective lyrics on each and every track.
Ylvis feat. Tix, Alexander Rybak, Staysman & Katastrofe – “Svenskejævel”
Two former Norwegian Eurovision contestants have teamed up with fellow artists from Norway for a fun and light-hearted track titled “With Swedish.” The duo includes TIX, who represented Norway in 2021, and Alexander Rybak — the Eurovision winner from 2009 who also returned to the contest in 2018.
The song is a playful parody about Sweden, blending humour with catchy melodies. TIX brings his signature vocals, while Rybak adds his unforgettable touch with the violin.

Intars Busulis & Atvara – “Vai drīkst kāpt dziļāk”
Intars, who represented Latvia in 2009, is back with a new track, “May I Dive Deeper?” — a collaboration with Atvara. The song delves into themes of fear and anxiety, focusing on the journey of overcoming everything that holds us back: “Can I dive deeper? / I’m afraid, but I want / To open my eyes in the dark / Because I can’t escape from myself.”
