Speaking to Gala Greece, Klavdia has opened up about her upcoming preparations for her Eurovision 2025 performance this May.
Greeceās representative for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, Klavdia, has recently opened up about her personal life, as well as her extensive preparations for her Eurovision performance of āAsteromĆ”taā. The singer has begun to publicly promote her entry.
I havenāt realised it yet. When I close my eyes and imagine the stage, the lights, the world, the energy of the audience, I feel something magical. Eurovision has always been a dream for me.
The singer opened up that her upcoming preparations are āintensiveāĀ and involve various different elements, stating truthfully that āitās hardā and āItās not just the stage and the music, itās the surroundings.ā
You have to be everywhere. You have to be active on social media, you have to have an opinion, talk, show yourself, promote your song. The projection part has never been my forte. Nevertheless, I try because itās part of my job.
Moving on from preparations, Klavdia talks about the meaning behind āAsteromĆ”taā:
Itās a dialogue between a mother and her daughter that talks about separation, about the love that remains even when the paths part. Iāve heard so many different interpretations of the song, and thatās the beauty of music: everyone interprets it in their own way. I close my eyes and with every verse I travel around the world.
She also talked about the reason why her song is in Greek and not English. During Eurovisionās lifetime, the majority of countries have and do send songs in English due to the ever-growing international audience. But in recent years, many countries have sent songs in their native language ā highlighting the importance of cultural representation.
I never thought if this piece is too heavy for the competition. I wanted to go with something that completely expresses me. I didnāt go to do something that fits, I went to do something that looks like me, represents me and is me.
Finishing the interview, Klavdia talks about her career after Eurovision. The singer hopes her participation will open up an international career for herself ā stating that she can hopefully show her ātrue selfā. And that after competing in Eurovision, she wants to look back and say āyes, I was goodā.
Lastly, the Greek singer stated how she wants the public to feel on the night of her performance:
I want something atmospheric. I donāt want exaggerations, I care about the feeling, thatās what I want to be the center. I want to present something that will deeply move, touch the audience, give shivers.
Klavdia will represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest in Switzerland in May 2025 with her song āAsteromĆ”taā. She will perform in the first half of the second semi-final on May 15.

Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest Greece debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 when they were represented by Marinella and the song āKrasi, thalassa kai tāagori mouā which finished in 11th place with 7 points. Three years later Greece earned their first top 5 finish with Paschalis, Marianna, Robert, and Bessy who finished in 5th place with āMathima solfegeā. In 2001, Greece achieved their first top 3 placing with Antique and the song āI Would Die For Youā. The song became a European hit and charted across the continent. In 2005, Helena Paparizou returned to the Eurovision stage as a solo artist and brought Greece their first, and to date only, victory. Her song āMy Number Oneā won with 230 points, beating runners-up Malta by 38 points.
