The Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM) is proud to present a special preview screening of Stelios at the iconic Astor Theatre on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. This one-of-a-kind event will immerse audiences in the powerful and emotional journey of Kazantzidis, tracing his rise from humble beginnings as the child of a Pontic refugee family to his enduring influence on Greek music and culture.
Adding to the evening’s significance, renowned artist Christos Mastoras will make a special on-screen appearance, offering his insights into the musical legacy of Kazantzidis and his lasting impact on new generations of artists.
Jorge Menidis, Director of the Greek Centre, emphasised the importance of the film, stating:
