The iconic Sanremo Song Festival returns for its 75th edition, with Prima Serata marking the beginning of this year’s events. The Teatro Ariston is ready to welcome 29 renowned artists from the Italian music scene, all vying for the prestigious first prize.
Sanremo 2025: The Road to Eurovision
After five nights filled with Italian music, the 75th Sanremo Festival will not only reveal the big winner but will likely also determine Italy’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. For yet another year, Italy is using the festival as its national final, and Eurovision fans are once again turning their attention to this major Italian music event.
This year, Carlo Conti takes over from Amadeus, who left a lasting mark on the festival. A seasoned presenter with years of experience in organizing television shows, Conti previously hosted the festival from 2015 to 2017. His aim this year is to breathe new life into the event by showcasing artists who have made a significant impact on the Italian music scene.
Conti will be joined by two of his close friends on the first night, as he referred to them during the customary press conference: Antonella Clerici and Gerry Scotti. Both are experienced in presenting live shows, and with the strong chemistry they share with the main presenter, it is certain they will form a team capable of overcoming the freezing cold of the first night with great success.
The Prima Serata Program
During Prima Serata, all 29 competing artists will perform their songs live for the first time. All participants of Sanremo 2025 must confirm by Saturday, February 15, at 12:00 whether they accept to participate in the Eurovision contest in case of their victory.
