Melodifestivalen 2025 kicks off tonight with its first heat. Luleå, the city that will host this heat, welcomes the first six candidates for the Swedish national final. Live from the Coop Norrbotten Arena, we will be ready to watch a spectacular show with Keyyo and Edvin Törnblom as the main hosts!
A total of six entries compete in each heat. The top two entries, in terms of points, will also be the ones that will manage to qualify directly to the grand final, while the entries that finished in third place will have a second chance in the Final Qualifying Round, which will be an extension of the 5th Qualifying Round to be held on March 1, 2025 in Jönköping. For the last three entries, the dream ends here.
Tonight’s guest on the show will be Käärijä, Finland’s representative in Eurovision 2023, who finished in 2nd place with 528 points. He will be joined by Hooja, a Swedish electronic music duo, and together, they will present their new collaboration.
