Last night, Greece held a national final for the first time in several years to select its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Klavdia won with the song “Asteromata” and will represent the country in Basel, Switzerland, in May 2025.
The National Final took place at the Christmas Theater in Athens, hosted by Helena Paparizou and Sakis Rouvas. Twelve artists competed, and the winner was determined by a combination of public voting (50%) and two jury panels, one Greek and one international (each contributing 25%).
The three artists with the highest scores were:
- Barbz with the song “Sirens”
- Klavdia with the song “Asteromata”
- Evangelia with the song “Vále”
Ultimately, Klavdia won and will represent Greece at Eurovision 2025.
Ethnikós Telikós results
During the live show, ERT decided not to reveal any kind of results from the three voting blocks they had (international jury, national jury and televoting) and to directly reveal the name of the winner. However, they also announced that the results will be made public later on.
Who is Klavdia?
Six years ago the 22-year-old she rose to fame as a participant in The Voice of Greece, where she reached the grand final on the team of former Eurovision contestant and winner Helena Paparizou. Since then she has not stopped releasing new music, some stellar collaborations such as Dionysis Savvopoulos, with whom she made an iconic performance at the Mad Video Awards, or with Good Job Nicky at the Summer Nostos Festival. Her first single “Lonely Heart” reached number one on the Shazam Discovery list and currently has more than 180,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
In 2025, Greece celebrate 20 years since their first -and only- victory with Helena Paparizou and “My Number One”. Will Klavdia be able to bring a second gold medal for Greece next May?
