Kapshtica Customs in Greece has announced the blocking of truck passage from this afternoon and for an indefinite period.
The cause was bad weather and heavy snowfall that affected both countries.
The Albanian police also announce that only vehicles equipped with chains will be allowed to pass through customs.

Due to difficult weather conditions, the Greek Border Police has notified the Korça Border Police that from 17:00 on 12.01.2025 and until further notice, the movement of heavy tonnage vehicles (trucks) will not be allowed through the Kapshtica Border Crossing Point, towards the Greek state.
Only cars and buses will be allowed to pass, which must be equipped with winter tires and chains.
The State Police appeals to all drivers of heavy vehicles who have planned to travel to Greece through the Kapshtica Border Crossing Point not to travel to this point, pending notification the next day from the Greek Border Police, regarding the permission for their movement.
