In Group A action, Malvern City FC put on a commanding performance, defeating tournament hosts South Springvale FC 4-0 on Pitch 1. Malvern’s attacking prowess and defensive discipline left South Springvale struggling to find their rhythm in front of a passionate crowd.
Meanwhile, over on Pitch 2, East Kew FC and Oakleigh Cannons played out a dramatic 1-1 draw. The match saw both teams display remarkable resilience, with East Kew managing to equalise late in the game after sustained pressure from the Cannons.
