This winter, renowned Greek musician Foivos Delivorias embarks on a new musical journey leaving behind the stages of Athens to perform around Greece and Cyprus. This week, he will hold three exciting concerts around the island, performing also in Paphos for the very first time.
This latest musical project is titled Map, as Delivorias hits new cities and journeys. Following performances in Limassol this Wednesday and Nicosia on Thursday, the singer will meet with Paphos audiences on Friday at the Markideio Theatre.
Together on stage with him will be two trusted musicians with whom he has been collaborating for the past 14 years – Kostis Christodoulou on piano and keyboards and Sotiris Ntouvas on drums.
“We’ll fit in a car,” Delivorias says, “I’ll bring them new songs every week, and we’ll try them out in different parts of the country. We’ll play the old ones, for both the faithful and the unfaithful, delving ever deeper into them. Let’s follow the Map to meet restless and wonderful people and seize the moment through music. The goal? To go everywhere and light up the map in Greece, Cyprus and friendly cities abroad.”
More live music will hit the town of Paphos this December. Technopolis 20, who is presenting this concert, is hosting a musical evening at its venue just days before. On December 18, the Triptycho Ensemble will present a programme of works from the international repertoire at Technopolis 20. In a cosy, intimate setting, audiences will enjoy pieces from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries by a variety of composers including world premier words by Rebay, Greek Cypriot George Christofi and Turkish Cypriot Hakki Cengiz Eren.
