Legendary Greek musicians Giorgos Dalaras and Vasilis Papakonstantinou are set to perform together, marking their first collaboration in over three decades.
The highly anticipated shows will take place this December, reviving the magic of their celebrated 1991 performances at the Attikon Theatre.
In January 1991, Dalaras and Papakonstantinou captivated audiences with three memorable concerts at the Attikon Theatre, culminating in the release of the iconic live album “Dalaras – Papakonstantinou, Live Recording at Attikon,” a standout in Greek music history. Although the two artists initially joined forces in the 1970s at “Diagonio,” their Attikon performances were meant to be the last time they shared the stage as collaborators.
Since that time, the duo has appeared together sporadically, participating as guests at various tribute concerts, including recent performances at the Lycabettus Theatre and the Petra Theatre in 2017. However, they have not collaborated on a dedicated program since 1991.
This upcoming collaboration promises a theatrical element, with Odysseas Ioannou joining them as a narrator, presenting texts that celebrate Greek song. Fans eagerly await the revival of this legendary partnership, which is sure to bring back cherished memories and create new ones for audiences.
