The concert features arrangements and orchestrations by music director Mr Leon Vitogiannis, and choral composer and pianist Mr Stefanos Maragkaki performed by a 30 piece orchestra featuring a modern twist, delivering a number of famous Rebetika songs.

Sandy Constantopedos and Heidi Spiliopoulos will be performing with the Australian Hellenic ChoirChoir.

“Heidi Is a seasoned performer with a professional career that has taken her to London, New York and Paris where she was privileged to work with some of the world’s best musicians.  In the Sydney music scene Heidi currently performs with her band, Mistura, teaches piano and singing via her music school, The Music Space.

“Sandy is a robust performer with a lot of experience in solo singing. Sandy developed a unique vocal style and found his niche when he met Themos Mexis, opening the doors to performing with prestigious orchestras and choirs, including singing in front of the legendary Mikis Theodorakis and working with a  number of International artists.” said Australian Hellenic Choir President, Mr James Tsolakis.

The Concert is a first for Australian audiences where local Greek Australian talent delivers a unique blend of Rebetiko.  A blend that honours the music and songs of the Rebetes of days gone by, yet enhances this music with orchestral arrangements and 4 voice harmonies, that will take the music and songs forward to a new generation.

Tickets are $79 per person with $69 concession tickets available. Tickets for the event are available via the Choir Facebook Page and via Humantix.
