Eureka’s Annual Eastern European & Greek Festival is October 12th

The vibrant community of Saint Innocent Orthodox Church is pleased to announce its annual Eastern European and Greek festival, Taste of Orthodoxy. This celebration of central and eastern European culture through food, music, and dance will be held Saturday, October 12, from 12 – 4 p.m., on the church grounds at 939 F Street, Eureka.

Guests can expect an array of cultural delights, from traditional Eastern European and Greek food and drink to the lively tunes by the international folk band and local favorite, Chubritza. Notable attractions include the 4th of July Gyro Booth, a full bar with imported spirits, a delicious array of Eastern European foods, and the enchanting Russian tea room serving international delicacies. Visitors can also attend a Byzantine choir performance that will complement a guided tour of the temple, which stands as the oldest church building in Eureka, constructed in 1883. Saint Innocent Orthodox Church is the heart of Orthodoxy in Humboldt County, joyfully hosting the Taste of Orthodoxy food and dance festival for our community since 1997. The church is named after Saint Innocent of Alaska, the first bishop of the American Pacific-Northwest, renowned for his life spent humbly serving native Alaskans.
