The new community hub celebrates its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that takes place today at 10 a.m. Then, a free cultural festival featuring music by Vino Tinto, Latin City Soul Band and Ale Amanza takes place tomorrow from 1 to 10 p.m.

Guardians vs. Los Angeles Angels
The Guardians go up against a mediocre Los Angeles Angels team that has struggled to play .500 ball this season since star Mike Trout went on the injured list at the end of April. The game begins tonight at 7:10 at Progressive Field. The series concludes on Sunday with a day game.

Dave Matthews Band
Newly inducted into the Rock Hall, the Dave Matthews Band takes a victory lap with this summer tour that brings it back to Blossom. At a festival date earlier this year, it played hits such as “What Would You Say” and “So Much to Say” along with covers of tunes by Peter Gabriel and Bob Dylan, and you can expect something similar from tonight’s show. The concert begins at 7:30.

Mike Polk Jr. Show Live
If you’ve seen local comedian Mike Polk Jr., the man behind the Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video, the Factory of Sadness video (parts one and two), Last Call Cleveland comedy troupe and The Mike Polk Jr. Show, perform live, you know he really thrives on having an audience at his disposal. At 9 p.m., he hosts the Mike Polk Jr. Show Live in the Frolic Cabaret room at Hilarities.

4 Miles 4 Water
This annual race starts at 8:30 a.m. at Flats West Bank. It supports Drink Local Drink Tap’s clean water initiatives both locally and globally. The event includes a variety of races, including a four-mile run, a one-mile walk and a youth fun run.

Art in the Village
More than 100 artists will participate in this event that takes place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow at Legacy Village. Expect to see vendors selling handmade organic soaps, live plants and artisan crafted works. There will be live music as well.

Decades of Delight
Tonight at 7:30 at Mandel Concert Hall, the Cleveland Pops Orchestra plays music by the likes of Neil Diamond, Simon & Garfunkel, Carole King, Henry Mancini and Burt Bacharach. The night ends with a salute to the armed forces and first responders.

Jimmy Failla
The conservative comedian and Fox News Saturday Night host comes to the Agora, where he speaks at 8 p.m. A former New York cab driver, Failla also has a hit comedy special, State of the Union, that finds him offering your basic jabs at the political left.

Fayrewether
In the ’70s and ’80s, Paul Fayrewether fronted the Cleveland-based band Fayrewether, and the band became known for its renditions of songs by Genesis and Alex Harvey. At the height of the band’s popularity, it filled rooms all over the region from Ohio, New York, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. Fayrewether, who currently lives in the suburbs and doesn’t play live often, brings his group known for its theatrical performances back to to House of Blues. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The Shootouts Album Release Concert with Jim Lauderdale
The local Americana band celebrates the release of its new album with this special show featuring singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale. A terrific success story, the group worked with producer Dan Knobler (Allison Russell, Lake Street Dive, Bahamas) on the album, which includes guests such as singer Lindsay Lou, guitarist Vince Gill and singer-guitarist Rodney Crowell. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Goodyear Theatre in Akron.

Thunder From Down Under
The press release promoting a recent appearance by the group of burly hunks who call themselves the Thunder From Down Under boasts that they’ll provide “the perfect girls’ night outback,” a reference to their Aussie heritage. Expect “seductive dance routines, cheeky humor and boy-next-door charm” from these topless dancers. The group performs tonight at 7:30 at MGM Northfield Park.

Suzanne Westenhoefer
Reportedly the first out lesbian to perform standup on national TV, this groundbreaking comedian has a career that stretches back to the ’90s. She performs tonight at 7:30 at the Akron Civic Theatre.

Whatever Album Release
The Cleveland punk band Whatever was a presence on the local scene during the ‘90s and early 2000s before going on hiatus. Now, after a nearly 25-year break, original members singer-guitarist Ben Wrecked and drummer Matt Fish have reunited with guitarist Brett Moore and singer-bassist Peter Woodward to bring the band back to life. The group celebrates the release of a new album tonight at 9 at the Happy Dog. Cursed Rosie and Sabon open.

Winona Fighter
Led by feisty singer-multi-instrumentalist Coco Kinnon, this punk band infuses the songs on its debut album, My Apologies to the Chef, with plenty of attitude. Standout track “You Look Like a Drunk Phoebe Bridgers” finds Kinnon standing up for herself to take on an adversary. The group performs tonight at 7:30 at House of Blues Cambridge Room.

The Wonder Years
What began as a college pastime has become a full-time career for Pennsylvania pop-punks the Wonder Years. Their 2010 album, The Upsides, was powered by punchy but angsty music that recalled old school emo bands like Promise Ring and the Get Up Kids. The group performs tonight at 7 at the Roxy at Mahall’s 20 Lanes in Lakewood.

Mike Cheselka
A Cleveland native, comedian Mike Cheselka has had an interesting run as an entertainer. After a 15-year run that included multiple headlining tours and performing with the likes of Robin Williams and Jerry Seinfeld, Cheselka returned to Cleveland to become a lawyer, but that hasn’t stopped him from taking the comedy stage in venues all over Cleveland. He performs tonight at 7 at Hilarities.

Foxy Shazam
The indie rock act gets experimental on its ninth album, Animality Opera. Opening tune “Rhumbatorium” features caterwauling, blaring horns and Zappa-like time signature changes and suggests just how out-there the group has become. The band performs at 8 p.m. at the Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights. Hot Fix Sideshow opens.

Matteo Mancuso
Influenced by his father, who was a musician, the Italian singer-guitarist performs tonight at 6:30 at the Kent Stage. Guitar heroes such as Steve Vai, Al Di Meola and Joe Bonamassa have praised the twentysomethimg guitarist who’s studied jazz and classical guitar.

The Sealed Soil
In this Iranian movie that has never been seen in Iran, a young woman is caught between the traditional values of her small village and her own yearnings for independence and individuality. Filmed in 1977, the film was smuggled out of Iran by the director in a false-bottomed suitcase and taken to the U.S., where it was completed. It screens at 2 p.m. at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque.

Wallows
The indie rock act out of Los Angeles draws from folk, post-punk, psychedelia and electronic music on its new album, More. Following this North America headline run, the group will support My Chemical Romance over two nights at Los Angeles’s Dodger Stadium, and then make stops at Lollapalooza and Outside Lands before heading to Europe and the United Kingdom. It performs at 6:30 p.m. at Jacobs Pavilion. Porches open the show.
