Greece’s Eurovision 2026 representative, Akylas, will appear as a guest act at the grand final of Serbia’s national selection, Pesma za Evroviziju ’26. The singer is set to perform his Eurovision entry “Ferto” during the show.
His first international promotional appearance
The news was revealed through the official social media channels of the Serbian Eurovision team. Akylas confirmed in a video message that he will take part in the final on 28 February, inviting viewers to sing along with his song. His performance will introduce the Greek entry to a wider Balkan audience just months before Eurovision week.
Greek representatives have rarely taken part in foreign national finals or promotional events in recent years, making the invitation a notable step for the country’s Eurovision campaign.
About Pesma za Evroviziju 2026
A total of 24 artists will compete across the two semi-finals, with a number of acts from Serbia’s music scene aiming to earn one of the 14 spots in the national final. The selection follows the format where the best performers from each semi-final advance to the final night on February 28 for the chance to represent Serbia at Eurovision.
RTS will combine jury and public voting to determine qualifiers from each show, continuing the broadcaster’s tradition of balancing industry and fan input in choosing its Eurovision representative.
All 24 tracks are now available to stream on the RTS Pesma Evrovizije YouTube channel, RTS Planeta, and other major music streaming platforms.
Greece’s Eurovision Journey
In 1974, Greece made its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest with “Krasi, thalassa ke t’agori mou” which placed 11th. Since then, they have participated on 44 occasions (41 of which made the Grand Final), and have won once, in 2005.
Greece’s most recent Eurovision participation saw them being represented by Klavdia with the song “Asteromáta”. Following her performance, Greece qualified for the Grand Final, finishing in 6th place. She earned a total of 231 points, of which 105 were from the national juries and 126 were from the televoters.
