Rihanna has another Fenty product, and everyone is dying to get their hands on it!
Rihanna’s luxurious beauty and fashion line, Fenty, has unveiled its new collection called The Cameo this week — which is made to celebrate black women and introduce a new standard of beauty.
On Fenty’s Instagram page, photos were posted to introduce Rihanna’s new collection. It consists primarily of jewelries, including a ring, a pendant that is layered to look like a brooch, and a pair of earrings.
The collection is inspired by ancient craft of cameo jewelry. Just a little bit of history, in ancient times, women who wear cameos were popular in Greece, as it shows their sexuality. Fenty took the initiative to put it back in this 2019, giving it a modernized rendition while providing a new beauty standard.
All jewelry pieces in the collection are sculpted and framed in Swarovski pearl ornaments and glass beads. The pieces are also made of both glass and transparent with black resin.
On Fenty’s official Instagram page, the launch post features a black woman with box braids tied in buns. The jewelry collection was photographed by Nigerian photographer Ruth Ossai and the model was hairstyled by Issac Poleon.
The cameo jewelry price ranges from $340 to $530. The collection was launched online on Fenty’s official site on October 30.
Moreover, the new collection from the LVMH-backed Fenty goes a long way as the value of the global luxury jewelry market continues to grow. Consumer interest in high quality and ethical jewelry is one of the factors that contributed to the jewelry market’s growth.
In addition, the global luxury jewelry market size is estimated to be at $39.33 billion USD in 2018 and is projected to expand at a CAGR of 7.6% from 2019 to 2025, according to a report and market research of Grand View Research.
