Peak to Peak Players launch summer season – The Mountain-Ear

Charles Smith, Peak to Peak. The 2019 Scholarship Benefit was hosted by Barb and Roy Stewart at the Last Shot on Sunday, May  19, 2019, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Delicious food, desserts, handmade salads, and young Gilpin thespians spinning out numerous flavors of cotton candy, all combined for a successful benefit dinner. All proceeds and donations generated will be utilized for summer theatre scholarships for our community youth. The proceeds yesterday totaled over $1,000.


Peak to Peak Players opens Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet for a two week run at Boulder’s Dairy Arts Center. For information and ordering tickets please go to tickets.thediary.org 

The production will then travel to Gilpin County for a June 8th performance starting with a 5:30 p.m. BBQ by Manley’s BBQ.

The Peak to Peak Summer Theatre Camp offers opportunities for two different productions. The first camp will be held from June 3 through June 15, 2019, and will showcase the performers in two workshop performances of Alice In Wonderland on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 2 p.m.  and 7 p.m. The second summer camp offering is The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza. This is a one week camp that runs from July 8, 2019, through the July 12, 2019. Complete information and registration can be found at peaktopeakplayers.com 

Our summer community musical is the family friendly production of Shrek – The Musical. This large scale production has started initial rehearsals and will have a 5 performance run at Gilpin School from July 26 to 28, and August 2 and 3.
