A NEW Festival of Greek Culture is set to take place in 2025 in Vines Park, Droitwich.
The three-day event, organised in association with Edward Winslow’s legacy, will be held on May 23, 24 and 25
The festival, aimed at having something for everyone, will feature Greek culture, dancing and music, along with a Greek cookery demonstration by chef and author Paul James.
The Greek culture was chosen as Marie-Chantal Miller, who was born in London on September 17, 1968, and was a descendant of Edward Winslow, is known as the ‘Princess of Greece’.
Droitwich is the birthplace of Winslow who was one of the first pilgrims to make it to America aboard the Mayflower.
The event is part of an Edward Winslow project by Simon Berry, the landlord of the Gadeners Arms in Droitwich and organiser of Saltfest, which will host the festival.
He has teamed up with American Private Investment Capitalist, media groups, Mr James, American corporations and other companies.
Mr Berry, Mr James and partners will make a presentation about the Edward Winslow Project at the Festival of Greek Culture.
And the event will be televised by a Greek TV company which will broadcast it around the world.
