ASTORIA – In a festive atmosphere amid the best wishes of family, friends, colleagues, and community members on October 23, IX Legal celebrated expanding its New York presence with the opening of its new office at 30-05 30th Avenue in Astoria, marking a return to the neighborhood where several of the firm’s partners have deep personal and professional roots.
For Managing Member Michael Iakovou, Esq., the expansion is particularly meaningful. Iakovou, along with IX Legal partners Socrates Xanthopoulos, Esq. and Konstantine G. Paschalidis, Esq., is from Astoria. Iakovou also began his legal practice in the neighborhood and has remained closely connected to Astoria’s Greek-American and broader business communities throughout his career.
Iakovou gave the welcoming remarks on October 23, thanking everyone for attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and offering moving words in his toast. He noted that the Astoria office is “probably the most special one, because we’re here, we’re back home in the community that we were born and grew up in, and it’s always nice to go back to your roots. We’re super excited, the IX Legal team is here in Astoria, and we’re really looking forward to doing great things.”

The ribbon was then cut to the cheers and applause of all those present. A traditional Greek Orthodox blessing of the office was held earlier as well.
