Monroe County gets a taste of Greece this weekend. The Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Stroudsburg is holding its delicious Greek Food Fall Festival once again.
Due to COVID it’s still a little smaller than usual, but the food looks yummy. News 13 stopped by this afternoon to see how the prep work is going and organizers say visitors won’t be disappointed. They still have a wide variety of options.
“We have baklava, galaktoboureko which is a custard with dough, honey, syrup on it which is amazing, every evening we have loukoumades which is a fried dough ball with a honey syrup,” Izzy Skarlis, Festival Chairman, said.
The festival will go from Friday through Sunday. The traditional Greek dancing will take place on Friday and Saturday nights from six to eight o’clock.
