The final decision is to be taken by Moscow.
Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Katrougalos has called on Russia to extend the Turkish Stream gas pipeline through Greek territory.
Thus, he confirmed the intention of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to take part in a project that would allow Russia to transport “blue fuel” bypassing Ukraine, Rosbalt reported.
In this case, the final decision is to be taken by Moscow, since it is the main gas supplier in the project.
On the eve of his visit to Ankara, Tsipras met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and expressed his will to partake in the implementation of the Turkish Stream project, which is set to be laid from Russia along the Black Sea and part of Turkey, up to the Greek border.
