We are looking for a grand trip as part of our R&R program. In the last few years, our team has covered Far East, Europe and Middle East. What more can we offer to a group of 70 to surpass their expectations?
For a group of this size, there are several new and unique locations that can be considered – Northern lights in the Scandinavian Arctic Region of Rovaniemi, or the capital city of Iceland, Reykjavik comes to mind instantly. You could also look at Israel which is getting increasingly popular for its nightlife, beaches and food. If time is not a constraint, you can also consider the Canadian Rockies or the South Island of New Zealand. Both of these destinations bring together beautiful and unforgettable sights and activities that get your adrenaline rushing! Other locations that you can explore are Cancun, Reunion Island, The Greek Islands or Anchorage.
My girlfriend and I are considering a destination wedding mid next year 2019. Can you advise, which international destination can we look at, keeping in mind the requirements of an Indian wedding?
You can’t go wrong with Thailand for a destination wedding, especially if you want to keep it traditional. Hua Hin and Phuket see a lot of Indian weddings, making it easier to sort out arrangements and food preferences. Another reason I would recommend Thailand is that it is budget-friendly. If you’re looking for something more exotic and don’t mind shelling out a bit more then beach destinations around the Mediterranean coast like Spain, Croatia and Greece can also be considered.
We are planning a trip to Europe. Please guide us on how many countries will fall under the Schengen umbrella. Which embassy/consulate does one apply to for visa? Please advise.
The Schengen umbrella comprises 26 countries in total, including some of the most visited countries in the world like Spain, France, Italy, Turkey and Germany. You should apply for a visa from the embassy/consulate of the country you plan to stay in for longest duration. If you are spending equal amount of time in all these places of travel, then apply from the country which will be your first port of entry to Europe.
