Usually busy streets in Athens turned empty and silent as Greece continues its lockdown in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
In comparison to several other nations, Greece enforced drastic lockdown measures early, starting with the closure of all schools and then gradually tightening restrictions to normal life.
Currently Greek citizens are not allowed outdoors unless they have a signed self-declaration form with them.
The country has recorded around 1,500 confirmed cases of infection, with more than 50 deaths.
