Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Discovery Tour Goes Live On September 10

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s new educational mode, Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece, will launch on September 10. The release date comes just before the previously announced fall 2019 launch window, which the publisher had given during E3 2019. The Discovery Tour will be released as a free update for existing Assassin Creed Odyssey owners on all platforms and will be available as a standalone purchase for PC via Uplay.

Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece

The Discover Tour mode will allow players to explore the intricately designed open world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey without any combat or other constraints of the main game. This mode will enable players to interact and explore the history and culture of ancient Greece. It will allow players to travel through 29 regions of the ancient Greece and go on guided tours with characters like Aspasia, Herodotos, and Barnabas. The new mode will offer tours for over 300 in-game stations that will cover five themes- philosophy, daily life, famous cities, myths, and war. To keep the tour on track, players will be guided from station to station using an illuminated path that covers every exhibit.

At the end of every tour, the Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece mode will test every player with a quiz. Also, the game mode will allow players to choose from 35 unique avatars and 15 mounts such as the winged Pegasus, a unicorn, and the fiery Abraxas, which will be accessible by progressing through different objectives.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was originally released on October 5, 2018. It will also be available as a Google Stadia launch title from November 2019.
