Concerts in Greece take place mainly in outdoor venues, but there are a number of indoor arenas in this ancient nation that are suitable for international artists.
Having previously hosted the likes of Muse and Iron Maiden, the OAKA Spyros Louis Olympic Stadium in the capital Athens is the leading arena for concerts in Greece. While the main stadium can hold 69,618 spectators, arena-level acts perform at the complex’s basketball venue, which opened in 1995. It has 18,500 spectator seats, 2,000 of which are folding.
