Ο Culture, Sports and Youth Organization of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA), presents, from his emblematic scene Olympia, Municipal Music Theater “Maria Callas”, her anniversary concert Symphony Orchestra and the Choir of the Municipality of Athens for the 200 years since the Greek Revolution, entitled “You remembered my land, oh Freedom” (From the tenth ode of A. Kalvos: “The Ocean”), which will do premiere the Friday May 28 2021 at 18:40 in ERT2.

On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, the Symphony Orchestra and the Choir of the Municipality of Athens collaborate with two internationally renowned personalities of the lyric theater, the soprano Myrto Papathanasiou and the baritone Tassi Christogiannopoulos in a program specially designed for the occasion.
Compositions by Gioachino Rossini, Giuseppe Verdi, Ludwig van Beethoven, Hector Berlioz, Maurice Ravel and Antonín Dvořák coexist with those of Pavlos Carrer, Dionysiou Lavraga and Manolis Kalomiris, drawing their themes from the history and culture of Greece.
The great actress also collaborates as a narrator with the Symphony Orchestra and the Choir of the Municipality of Athens. Filareti Komninou.
