Greece: Ethnikos Telikos 2026 rules published: song submission window open


ERT, the Greek national broadcaster, has published the rules and regulations for the forthcoming Greek national selection – Ethnikos Telikos 2026 and opened the song submission window for the competition.

The 2026 Greek national selection Ethnikos Telikos will consist of three live televised shows: two semi-finals and a grand final.

A total of up to 28 songs will compete in each of the two semi-finals, fourteen songs will battle in each of the two semi-finals.  Seven songs from each of the semi-finals will proceed to the Grand final after a 100% public voting deliberation.

Hence a total of 14 songs will battle for the golden ticket to Eurovision 2026 at the Grand Final. The 2026 Greek Eurovision entry and act will be determined via a combined public voting/ expert jury deliberation.

ERT has published the rules and regulations for Ethnikos Telikos 2026 and opened the song submission window with the deadline set on 2 November 2025. Artists can submit their applications and entries here.

ERT is yet to officially confirm the dates. hosts and the venue for the 2026 Greek national selection.

Greece at Eurovision

Greece debuted at the Eurovision in 1974 and has won the event once in 2005 when Helena Paparizou stormed to victory in Kyiv with her mega hit ‘ My Number One‘.

Greece enjoyed its golden era at the Eurovision Song Contest from 2004-2013, achieving 9 top 10 placings in the Grand Final, including its 2005 victory. The Mediterranean country has partaken 45 times in our favorite television show.

In 2025 Klavdia represented Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest with her iconic entry ‘Asteromata‘, achieving an honourable 6th place in the Grand Final.
