This was the headline act of the much-anticipated Release Athens 2025 festival, held at Plateia Nerou—an iconic open-air venue in Kallithea, Athens, renowned for hosting large-scale concerts and festivals.

The highly anticipated concert in Athens was Kylie Minogue’s first appearance at the Release Athens Festival, and is probably one of the highlights of this summer’s music scene in the Greek capital, as it brought immense excitement among Greek audiences.
Ahead of her performance, the Princess of Pop expressed her affection for Greece in an exclusive interview with Greek TV channel MEGA, stating, “Greece, I love you so much… What stays with me is the people. There’s this openness, this joy, this incredibly welcoming energy that makes me feel like I’m home.”
Minogue’s performance in Athens was a high-energy, emotional journey through her four-decade-long career. Fans danced all night to a mix of timeless classics like “Spinning Around,” “Better the Devil You Know,” and “The Loco-Motion,” alongside newer hits from her chart-topping “Tension” album, including the Grammy-winning “Padam Padam.”
The elaborate production, a hallmark of her “Tension Tour” – her biggest in 15 years – featured spectacular visuals, dynamic choreography with world-class dancers and an array of stunning costumes.
The evening also featured performances by one of Greece’s most talented DJs and producers, Antonis Dimitriadis and two-time Eurovision winner Loreen, who won the biggest music competition in the world for Sweden twice.
This summer, before concluding her European leg in Athens, Kylie Minogue’s “Tension Tour” visited many cities across the continent. She performed in Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, London, and Birmingham in May. In June, she played in Espoo, Stockholm and Paris. In July, she dazzled her fans in places like Antwerp, Amsterdam, Berlin, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Seville and Lisbon.
