Athens, Greece—Greece will select its entry for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest through a public pre-selection on January 29th. This marks a return to a public voting format after a hiatus since 2017.
One hundred eighty-seven songs were submitted for consideration. A jury will now review these entries and select a final lineup for the public. The public vote will account for 50% of the final score while combining Greek and international jury votes will determine the remaining 50%.
This year marks a significant milestone for Greece, which is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Eurovision victory with Helena Paparizou’s iconic song “My Number One.”
Greece was represented by Marina Satti in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “ZARI.” The powerful performance secured a spot in the Grand Final, where Greece finished in 11th place.
